At the moment you can only have 3 houses, garages included. Having 3 houses is fine I think, but I like to have a garage next to my house and atm. I have a garage at the airport which is nice for spawning in, and house with a garage, that means I can't buy any more houses.
I would love to see garages no longer count as a house, or the total house limit set higher
