CvG now runs on HTTPS

Earlier this week I decided to change the website to use HTTPS which means all the traffic to/from the server is encrypted.

Today I heard that a user had encountered problems because of this and so I wanted to write about this public if others is having problem with the website.

To probably solve all the problems you can encounter on the website you have to clear the cache, remove all (or change) all links you have to the website and saved data.

Some of the benefits of using HTTPS is that thanks to Clodflare we can use semi-HTTP/2. And at the same time use encryption. Also some major performance improvements which will increase with time :)

To read more about this:

https://www.cloudflare.com/http2/

I can also recommend to download "spdy indicator". This is a plugin for chrome or firefox and shows a little icon in the addressbar if the website is using SPDY or HTTP/2.

Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/http2-and-spdy-indicator/mpbpobfflnpcgagjijhmgnchggcjblin

Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/sv-se/firefox/addon/spdy-indicator/

Noticed a problem since you started to run with https"

Im using my IPhone 5c, with Safari. And 8/10 links doesn't work. Error message says: Safari cannot open the page because too many redirects occurred

I can entry the topic trough the profile of the publisher.

works perfectly on Google Chrome app.

You most probably have to clear Safari's cache.

Settings > Safari > something data
