Is this one good enough for Arma?

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow players!

I am thinking about upgrading my computer a little bit so I am wondering if the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X Processor is good enough for Arma.

It will be more than enough. The thing with Arma (multiplayer at least) is that your FPS depends more on the server than your specs, when I got a new setup I only got a few extra frames in multiplayer, but my FPS in single player more than doubled. Also make sure your motherboard supports it ;)

I got a I3 and a 660, which works kind of fine.

That CPU is more than enough, atleast for this server.

It shouldn't be too hard if you have a stock cooler at least. Some coolers can be a pain to install/uninstall

I have the exact same one, I think installing it is a bit tricky, but just taking it off and on probably isn't too hard

Yes @Ramo I agree, but it doesnt fit the AM4 socket

You can always use the stock cooler, if it comes with one. If you don't overclock they are usually fine
