A minority of you may know who I am and what I've done on this server, but for you who don't here's an introduction.

My name is Alfons "Hysteria" Warg, I'm 20 years old and live in Stockholm. Together with a GW and a few other friends we started the CvGaming altis life server as a minor joke in late July of 2014. But it quickly escalated into something we hadn't even thought of. I was at the time the map editor, community manager and the one fixing the balance on the server. 

Fast-forward a bit until October where CvGaming reached its prime when it came to playerbase and active players on the server. This was the time where GW and me still manually restarted the server every 4 hours, we were 2 head-admins running a server that was popping 90 players on most days. Which of course was extremely exhausting both physically and mentally, and since I had some personal and private issues at the time as well I decided to step down as an admin and focus on other stuff instead. 

Even tho I left the server, I never completely left CvGaming. I have a ton of friends in this community that I would never dream of just withdrawing out of my life.

In the beginning of May I started to realize that the server wasn't doing as good as it used too. There were tons more negative posts on the forums than usual. The server population had drastically gone down, and the active players had gone from a dispersion of all sorts of groups to almost only major gangs and official factions. I decided that since the private matters where fixed and I was still jobless this was something I could put time into and actually try and fix. So I contacted Goatis (shoutout to you my friend) and told him about what I was thinking. This then escalated to me personally discussing several matters with the majority of the admin-staff. 
 
But now today I can officially anounce that I have rejoined the CvGaming staff and oh'boy you are all about to see some major changes by us when it comes to server balance and map-layout! I will personally jump around in TS asking about your own opinions about content and such, which is the way I was doing it before. I believe in a server run by the players, not purely by the admins.

Fun fact: CvGamings altis life server would've never existed if I didnt rob GW of his hemtt box on secret one! I later felt guilty about dong it so the group I was playing with (Pyaht and Billy Bob, all former admins) gave GW a free weapon, invited him to skype and started to farm cocaine with him.

We now allow players to have the mods: JSRS 3.0 (DragonFyre) and Blastcore A3 Phoenix activated on our server!
 
These two mods requires a mod called cba_main (Community Base Addons for Arma 3) to work properly, but our current battleeye filters will kick you if you tries to have it active. Im gonna take a look in the filters to try fix this problem. You can still play without cba_main but JSRS and Blastcore will not be optimized.

Have you read all of the rules on the forum?
I do that on a regular basis and will of course read the cop rules 10 extra times.

Do you promise to always act in-character and never abuse your power while playing as a cop/medic/rebel?
You have my word, I will never abuse power or trust.

How long have you played on the server?
I really don't know but it should be 200h+ over a period of 6-8 weeks!?
My record is 20h without any breaks or pauses (ate once though). Liberatore was amazed.
So I don't think my in game time will be a problem.

How long have you played Arma 3?
Since the Alpha, and for 770 hours according to Steam.
But more importantly is probably my history in Arma 2 which I estimate to 2000h+.
(I can't look it up since I used a launcher instead of Steam. )

Anyways, I have played Warfare, CTI (Gossamer and BECTI mostly), Life (both with and without database support) as
bandit, terrorist, cop (miss the dogs :/), fabricator (fun word) and other RP roles.
Insurgency, and stuff like that. The list is long, can't remember all the different modes and mods. (Big fan of ACE 2 btw.)
I'm also a big fan of BIS and was hooked when the original Operation Flashpoint was released a long time ago.
Testing, scripting, modding and so on are pretty fun too even though ArmA is a mess to work with. At least for me.

How often do you play on the server?
I am pretty active both on the server and on the forums. Maybe too active sometimes.

Tell us a little about yourself!
Well, what can I say... I'm a Swedish fella' that like a lot of different things in life. More importantly gaming and
Arma 3. My age is somewhat a sensitive matter but let's say I'm 25+ but not 30. No more question about that please.

I'm now handing over my application to the A.P.D since I am tired of being a honest and hard working civilian.
And I know how hard it is to make a living without a gang I will do my best to protect and to serve
the poor civilians on Altis. I would like to patrol problem areas like highway checkpoints and traders.
I want to be present where the civs are rather that waiting for the FED to be robbed. I prefer to save lives and put bandits into jail rather than killing. But sometimes a man gotta do what a man gotta do.

Here is the tools alot of developers use to create their own textures.
 
I've been asked alot of times  "what tools do you use and how do you edit?".
 
 
First find the tool in the list then google

The easiest way in my opinion is to convert the object you want to edit so you can edit it in photoshop.
Then convert it back to .paa or what file you now want to edit

Today a user told me that he wanted his own channel for playing CS.
 
 
Then I saw that normal users only can create sub-channels with the worst quality possible which is not how I planed.
 
So from today, all normal users() can create temporary sub-channels with any channel quality.
 
Just wanted to announce that so all users who had the same trouble now know that they can create their own temporary channels

Patch 3.5.5 to celebrate the hardwareupdate

Okej, vi i F.I.A satt och brainstormade lite angående nya idéer till servern och vi kom fram till många idéer men vi tänkte att vi skulle posta dom 2 bästa vi kom på.
 
Den första är att man kan råna Kavala police station för att kunna få tag på några vapen (t.ex. 3 MX och några polisvästar för att hålla det till polisvapen för RPns skull) genom att ta sig in på Kavala police station och spränga den breda metalldörren till deras vapenförråd, när man väl har suttit dit bomben så är A.P.D station en krigszon det vill säga att man får döda alla inom området.
Självklart ska man inte kunna smyga sig in på stationen och kunna sätta bomben medans man har folk som är beredda att avrätta poliserna direkt när han har suttit bomben så man skulle kunna sätta en spärr på att man inte kan sätta dit bomben om en polis är inne på stationen.
Det skulle även kunna sättas ett krav på 7 poliser för att sätta dit bomben nu när det har blivit lite fler aktiva poliser.
I ett scenario skulle poliserna vara ute, kanske i Kavala, på patrull eller vad ni nu är ödslar tiden på och helt plötsligt så är det någon som rånar Kavala station och då måste alla poliser dra sig tillbaka till basen för att förhindra gänget från att ta deras vapen ifrån dom.
Poliser skulle under den tiden inte vara tillåtna att spawna inne i Kavala längre utan dom måste spawna på en annan station.

Vi hade även en liten idé om att man kunde lägga till så att knocka ner någon är ett brott som hamnar under titeln "misshandel" som skulle kunna ge en böter på typ 25000kr, detta skulle förmodligen få folk att sluta knocka varandra i safezone.
 
 
Det här är inte riktigt en idé utan mer ett litet förslag att lägga in Slash Bandolier i Black market för att civs ska kunna få tag i något annat än Rangemaster belt i shops.
Slash Bandolier skulle passa bra för att den ger inte lika stort skydd som Tactical Vest vilket man kan få tag i Bandit Area.
Det skulle bli som ett till litet steg att få tag i bättre västar, alltså: Gun store för sämsta västen, Black market för en okej väst och ta över bandit district för att få tag på den bästa västen.
