Today I have been trying to solve some HDD's problem.

Long story short:

I could not save the HDD

There was some electrical difficulties.

Sorry for the long downtime, hope this didn't cause any problems for you.
I am really sorry that it took so long :/

The server went down because I was going to install more RAM-memory.

This downtime was between 10:00 and 11:30.

This downtime affected: teamspeak, website, epoch.

The reason it took longer than I announced was that I decided to get even more RAM, so I went and bought more..

Basic Crafting

There are many items that can be crafted in Epoch, but they are always started in the same way by double clicking the item in your inventory.
This is an overview of how to craft items, which can be applied to all crafting in the list of Items and Recipes;

Basic building controls

E - Rotate

Q - Change angle(?)

Home - Move from you

End - Move forward you

PgUp - Move up

PhDn - Move down

Upgrading Pieces

Some building pieces can be upgraded with the use of additional materials, best example is the wall.

Base Maintenance

If they are not maintained, base pieces will be removed after 7 days of being placed.
To avoid this, you can do one of the following:

• Use crypto at your frequency jammer at a cost of 1 crypto per base peice within it's radius.
• Paint upgraded wall peices.
• Move existing base pieces.

The best way is clearly through the maintenance, as painting will only work on upgraded walls, and moving every piece of a base and getting them back to how they were would be very time consuming on all except the most basic bases.

Here is the tools alot of developers use to create their own textures.

I've been asked alot of times  "what tools do you use and how do you edit?".

First find the tool in the list then google

The easiest way in my opinion is to convert the object you want to edit so you can edit it in photoshop.

Then convert it back to .paa or what file you now want to edit

To play on the epoch server which is not developed by us but developed by a team called "Epoch mod Team" and is releasing everything in CC-license.

So how do I connect to the server?

To play on the server you can either download the mod by hand or use their launcher which does this automatically for you.

The launcher can be found on their website, here is a link: http://epochmod.com/downloads/Epoch_Launcher.zip

1. Extract the ZIP
2. Run SETUP.exe
3. Start the launcher
4. Pick download and wait for it to finish downloading
5. Click on install and wait for the "Play" button to "shine" green NOT RED
6. When "Play" is green, press play.
7. Filter the in-game server browser to CvGaming and you should see the server.

When arma has started you should have a different background in the menu and other music made by the epoch mod team. If you have the regular background the Epoch mod did not load correctly.

I want to do it manuelly, how?

Manual Install Instructions:

Open your Arma 3 root directory and remove any @Epoch folders. Then simply extract the latest zip file into your Arma 3 root directory. Path to Arma 3 is generally "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\"

 

Today a user told me that he wanted his own channel for playing CS.

Since the CS channels was empty I told him to use them.

 

But he did not want to get disturbed.

 

So I told him to create a sub-channel.

 

He told me that the sub-channels only had bad quality.

 

I was like... what.

 

Then I saw that normal users only can create sub-channels with the worst quality possible which is not how I planed.

So from today, all normal users() can create temporary sub-channels with any channel quality.

Just wanted to announce that so all users who had the same trouble now know that they can create their own temporary channels
